Ask anyone who works with young people in Kenya today and you will hear the same concern: a lot of attention, rightly, goes to the girl child — but boys are quietly being left to figure life out on their own. Many grow up without a steady, trusted adult to talk to. Some drop out of school. Some drift into idleness, alcohol and drugs. Too many simply stop believing they have something to offer.
Boy Child Care Kenya exists because we believe every boy carries a God-given potential worth restoring. Since 2008, our work has been to create place and space for boys and young men to grow into responsible members of their communities.
Walking with, not for
One principle shapes everything we do: we walk with boys and young men, not for them. Mentorship is not about lecturing a boy or making his decisions for him. It is about showing up consistently, listening, sharing honest life experience and letting him learn through guided personal experience.

Growing the whole boy
Our mission is grounded in Luke 2:52, where Jesus is described as growing in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and with people. That is the kind of growth we aim for: physical, mental, social and spiritual. In practice that means:
- Education support — helping boys access school, stay in school and finish.
- Mentorship — building discipline, character, faith and responsible decision-making.
- Psychosocial support — walking with boys facing emotional or mental challenges.
- Sports — keeping boys active, engaged and part of a team.
Success is personal growth
We do not measure success by trophies or titles. We measure it by personal growth and self-actualization — a boy who stays in school, a young man who says no to drugs, a graduate who comes back to mentor the next group.
You can be part of this. Become a mentor, sponsor a boy through school, or partner with us as a church, school or company. Get in touch or support a boy today.
